There is also a function on one of my above links to find out when most people are checking out twitter. You should program your tweets to come out at peak times.

There are some applications for twitter that analyze how well your competitor is doing on Twitter. There are some people who you want re-tweeting your posts because they are well respected and when they speak people listen! The following sites I will provide you with will help. They will let you know how respected a fellow tweeter is and wether or not people do as instructed by the tweeter. Hard to explain in not many words but for example: One of our competitors has 200 people following them. They posted a tweet and 8000 people read it. (yes you can find out how many people clicked on their links with this analyzing software) The people didn't just read the tweet they clicked on a link to the competitors site because the person who re-tweeted our competitor is a well respected person who writes reviews on products. So if you have a good product make sure you can get someone who is well respected on twitter to re tweet you and if you have a good product and can get their attention it shouldn't be too hard. Also there is a service that shows you how well you are doing on twitter and how to improve your tweeting there is a lot to learn, it is not just about posting news. I hope you can understand what I have written I think if I give you the links below you can play around for yourself and I hope it is of use to you. Also there is software set a calendar of when you want the tweets sent out.

Jake;

I only have one question for you. Why wait?

I would test it out now so you have it perfected by the time you have 'enough' fans and followers.

One of my best resources - How to replicate your biggest sales wins - is only available when people follow me on Twitter...Twitter.com/CraigElias. Once someone follows me I have Social Oomph configured to send them a direct message with a link to the resource. It checks my Twitter followers every four hours. You can see more about this at http://www.shiftselling.com/2009/11/02/number-5-way-to-sell-more-using-social-media/.

Good luck - Craig

I like the idea of offering exclusive discounts and deals to Twitter followers and Facebook fans. Something like 20% off our regular price if you purchase before April 30. Need to have a deadline. It's easy to verify. I haven't tried this yet, but I plan to once we have enough fans and followers.
