2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Information you provide directly:

  • Name, email address, phone number, and mailing address when you contact us, book a call, or sign up for coaching/consulting.
  • Billing and payment information submitted through our payment processor (for credit card payments) or provided directly to us (for cheque, e-Transfer, or Electronic Funds Transfer payments) when you purchase Services.
  • Information you voluntarily share during coaching sessions, consultations, or correspondence.
  • Email address and preferences when you subscribe to our newsletter or opt-in list.

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage data such as pages visited, time on page, referring URLs, browser type, and device information, collected through cookies and similar analytics technologies (e.g., Google Analytics or comparable tools).
  • Cookie identifiers used to remember preferences and measure Site performance.

Information we do NOT collect or store ourselves:

  • We do not collect or store full credit card, debit card, or bank account numbers. Credit card data is entered directly into and processed by our third-party payment processors, Stripe, Inc. (“Stripe”) and Moneris Solutions (“Moneris”). See Section 4 below.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

  • Process and fulfill purchases of coaching, consulting, and related Services;
  • Communicate with you about bookings, invoices, receipts, and account matters;
  • Send newsletters, promotional emails, and updates about Shift Selling programs (only where you have opted in, and you may unsubscribe at any time);
  • Analyze and improve the Site’s content, functionality, and user experience;
  • Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations;
  • Prevent fraud and protect the security of our Site and Services.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Payment Processing

We accept payment by credit card, cheque, e-Transfer, and Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).

Credit card payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. (“Stripe”) or Moneris Solutions (“Moneris”), depending on how you check out. When you pay by credit card, the payment card and billing information you enter is transmitted directly to Stripe or Moneris and is subject to that processor’s own Privacy Policy (Stripe) or privacy policy (Moneris) and terms of service. We receive limited transaction information from our payment processor (such as the amount paid, the last four digits of your card, and your billing name/email) to confirm your purchase, issue receipts, and provide customer support — we do not receive or store your full card number, CVV, or expiry date.

Cheque, e-Transfer, and EFT payments are handled directly by us rather than through Stripe or Moneris. For these methods you may need to provide banking details (such as an account or transit number, or an e-Transfer email address) directly to Shift Selling Inc.; we use this information solely to receive and reconcile your payment and do not share it beyond what is needed for that purpose.

5. Cookies and Analytics

The Site uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to:

  • Remember your preferences;
  • Understand how visitors use the Site (via analytics tools);
  • Measure the effectiveness of our content and marketing.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some Site functionality. Where required by law, we will request your consent before placing non-essential cookies.

6. Email Marketing

If you opt in to our newsletter or mailing list, we will use your email address to send you updates, offers, and content related to Shift Selling and Trigger Event Selling™. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you may opt out at any time by clicking that link or reaching us through our contact page.

7. How We Share Information

We may share personal information with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the Site and deliver Services, including Stripe and Moneris (credit card payments), email marketing platforms, analytics providers, and CRM tools — each bound by their own privacy and confidentiality obligations;
  • Legal and regulatory authorities, where required to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, or protect our rights;
  • A successor entity, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets, subject to this Policy or a substantially similar one.

We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes without your consent.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including to satisfy legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. Coaching and consulting client records are generally retained for the duration of the client relationship plus a reasonable period afterward for legal and business purposes, after which they are securely deleted or anonymized.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • Withdraw consent to marketing communications at any time;
  • Request deletion of your personal information, subject to our legal and business record-keeping obligations;
  • Ask questions or file a complaint about our privacy practices.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us through our contact page. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Site and Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. International Visitors

Shift Selling Inc. is based in Alberta, Canada, and personal information may be processed in Canada or other countries where our service providers (including Stripe and Moneris) operate. By using the Site, you consent to this processing.
